10 miler

I'm going on a 10 mile day hike today...I got to be back by 5:30 to relieve the baby sitter, neans I'm gonna have to haul a** as it is a 90 minute drive to and from the site, wish me luck.

great trip, (made it back alive)when with one of my ems buddies, some really great views (hopefully pics to come) and a cool rattle snake sighting ( they're rare here but the area I was in has a fairly healthy population, we had a string of warm day and he was sunning himself on sopme rocks by the trail, The first one I've seen in these parts. I brought 2 nalgenes of water some trail mix and some dried sausage, my fak my psk, a minimag flashlight, my petzl headlamp, some extra matches,lighter, bsa hotspark, my camera, my Vic sak fieldmaster, a mora clipper and a smalol folding slingshot (for plinking) it was really nice fairly rugged terrain, There is cave on the trail that was supposedly a hideout for a colonial outlaw..All in all a great day. just what the doctor ordered....Thanks for the kind words everbody
