Thanks SG! I really like the look and size of them BBFF's. I figure the handle has to be at least 4 inches so the blade has to be 5 inches so it must be legal unles the handle is 3 1/2" which would be way to short even for Thamars standards. My Katunje is really cool size too but the blade is a bit long for EDC.
steely: The Hasiya btw is a fine tool! I like the thick ones because you do some pretty good chopping with them as well. I could see how a thin one would be nice too tho. I use it to cut the grass away from the slab of the house before the roots start to grow under the siding and into the air condition unit. If you keep them razor sharp man they are fast and efficient. The tip like you say does get some abuse tho. I think I finally got all the remnant concrete pieces and rocks cleared now so I can cut away. I do wish I had a Hasiya on a stick tho. Its hard on an old back!
