Actually, the Benchmade Pika II, although a lockback, has a quite similar blade and configuration to the Benchmad AFCK. The current alloy is 9Cr13MoVCo, a Chinese steel which has edge retention quite similar to that of 440C. If you get the model with Ti handles, it should run you about $60. If you get FRN handles, much less. I have the FRN model and like it.

Excellent recommendation. My brother has carried a 820 (Pika II) for many years and it's similar to the AFCK for a much lower price.
