Read a lower post in this forum where it was said 100.00 + shipping was high for a new knife?

I've only traded never sold on here, I checked online sources for their prices and found it for 122.00+8.95 S/H fee.
Isn't 20% acceptable loss for opening a package.

I'm not trying to get into anyones business here just asking a question. thanks, Ron

It's definetely not! Try and find a deal like that anywhere else for that knife! You won't even see that on eBay!

I don't think it's out of line at all, but when I sell a knife online, I'd count myself fortunate if all I saw was a 20% loss. Let's face it, selling a production knife here often requires one to just hold your nose and do it. :( geegee

I don't think $100 is out of line for this knife if it is in NIB or LNIB condition. This is a very popular knife and it retains its value well.

Thanks guys, at 1st I had it posted sorta high because I traded for a 2nd 1 and had only the retail price to go by, when a few e-mailed and said it was high at 125.00 I researched it online and found the cheapest dealer had it for 122.00 plus the usual billsh!t shpiipng and handled charges of almost 9.00 bucks.
So I lowerd mine to 100.00 + delivery comp priority shipping charges, which will get it to the buyer a good 2 weeks faster than the I'll ship when I get around to it type companies. thanks, Ron

I agree $100 is'nt too much for the knife. What's probably hurting your sale is New Graham's price of $106.25 + shipping. It seems most guys' expect a 15-20% discount off online prices for a LNIB knife. I've seen a lot of great cutlery going awfully cheap the past several months. Appears to be a buyer's market, but good luck with your sale, that's a sweet blade.

In fact, I bought an 806D from New Graham for $106, didn't like it, and turned around and sold it here a few days later for $80. Given New Graham's excellent price, I'd say that $100 for a LNIB 806D would be just a little too high.

WOW that is a damn good price on this knife from N/G I have 2 now so I think I'll just keep mine.
Thanks for the answers and comments tho guys. Ron

Were there any buyers at $100?

If not, then the price was too high.

What you think you should get for a sale is irrelevant.

It only matters what you can get for a sale.

I think your price of $100 + shipping is a fair price for a popular knife like that.

I did, however, find one on line for 107.75 + shipping. But, for a NIB piece, your price still beats that by about $7.

So, I guess if someone wants to be dumb enough to pay $107.75 + about $10 shipping for an NIB, instead of $100 + shipping for a NIB from you, then I guess the only thing you can do is shake your head and quote P.T. Barnum... "There's a sucker born every minute!"

Good luck on the sale.

Frank
