I'm looking for any of the above knives in the price range of $100 to $200. No real reason, except, since I was a kid I've always liked the look of a pointy, stabby, impractical blade. I'd prefer better steel though, 1095, aus8, A2,etc. I don't want to pay $180 for "surgical steel" (whatever that means). A false swedge or unsharpened top dagger grind is preferred.

Thanks.

What about looking for a custom? You can find stabby pointyness for a good price with good steel.

Another option is to look into Cold Steel. They use good steel and you can get a nice one for a great price.

I've taken customs into consideration. There are several that I have in mind. I just want to see what is on the production market. Do you have a custom maker and model in mind?

Too many choices to list... Don't go with Cold Steel.. Yuck. No reason to send them money when there are plenty of better choices with better quality.

You could get a nice double edged OTF with that price range. For fixed blades I don't think you'd really need to spend that much if its mostly for stabbing. Impractical or not, I guess the question depends on whether or not you're actually planning on using it or if its more of an art piece.

I should have said this from the gate- I prefer fixed blades. If I can get a blade that is legal to carry (i.e. False/unsharpened top grind), I intend to use it.

I commissioned this one from Big Chris Customs. It's a smallish blade since there is a limit or 4" for blades in NYC, but it is dagger shaped with no swedge at the top.

3.5 inch blade and it is CPM 3V steel. I love this knife cuz as impractical as it looks, I am pretty sure I can still baton a Volvo in half with it.

Yeah Cold Steel is definitely worth a look, especially for the price. You could pick up a Bowie spike and sharpen the swedge, or get a full double edged knife for like $20. Even if its just something to use and abuse until you find a custom to put some real money into. Personally I'd prefer something with a swedge over full double edge since I'm not a fan of cutting my thumb and I don't normally get into knife fights but that's just me.

I really want one of these but I have literally no use for it and I'm pretty sure it violates the Geneva Convention.

Lol that thing would be savage! Don't think the g convention counts outside of war..?

I have an old m7 bayonet and that beast will stick pigs day n night like a bowss! Probably get one for 30 bucks too and spend the rest on beer!

Or the glock field knife thing, that looks pretty stabby and is well within your budget. :)

I have something similar. I have a french lebel bayonet that my Grandfather "confiscated" from a soldier somewhere in Austria during WW2.

Just to let you guys know, there is a website selling them for significantly less than others. I called and inquired thinking maybe it was a blemished blade or a second and the CS rep guaranteed me with my money back, that it was the real deal. She said they're not ordering anymore, which led me to believe they're clearing them out. Everybody else has it for much much more.

That's nice, and for $99 you can't go wrong. I think I'm gonna pick one up. There are sites that have it for$200+ and a site that has it for $99, curious.

If it is $99, get it. I snagged mine for $140, otherwise the prices are stupidly high.

I did! It qualified for free shipping and a free orange bait knife.
