$100 for 3 Knives: Your Choices?

I put the most emphasis, cash wise, on my edc blade so here are my picks:

Opinel no. 7 ($14 France) It's nice and traditional, yet still locks and can be modded for additional fun later. Good for carrying when you cant openly have a knife on you. Also has nice geometry.

Mora Robust ($14 Sweden) Shorter than the companion and slightly thicker stock. All round, nice edc or woods fixed blade. Probably not the best for batoning a lot of wood, due to its length. Kindling splitting monster. The sheath is nice too and the belt loop can be cut off for pocket carry.

Kershaw Bareknuckle ($72 USA) non assisted, great edc blade. Fun action and the coated aluminium that will wear nicely with time.

Optionally, you could switch out the kershaw for a SAK or leatherman depending on what you do.

You looking to actually buy 3 knives for that price?

I will add though that its great your son is showing interest and your gona get him a knife. Definitely be sure to go over first aid practices with him as well though. Its inevitable that he's going to cut or stay himself at one point on accident. Its important he knows what to do in that situation.

No, not looking to purchase three knives for $100. Just in my looking lately I thought it would be interesting to hear what board members would buy if they only had a $100 to buy three knives.

Thank you! Definitely!!!

Before we headed out this afternoon he made sure he grabbed his Rat 2 and out it in his pocket.
