#100 is finished!!!

I may well have said this before on one of your threads, but I once read that it takes a maker 100 knives to become any good at it.....

I reckon you blew that theory out of the water a long time ago!;):D

Beautiful piece of work.

Whatever is #200 going to look like?;)

Ian

Kyle, it's been great sharing thoughts on #100's design and you created an incredible piece! Each step in the process added a bit of embellishment that worked just right in the final design. We feel fortunate to be able to display her in our collection.

Heather's idea about a damascus inlay really worked well and we appreciate the extra work you dedicated to this project to fulfill her request.

Thank you very much! Can't wait to hold her for the first time.

Caleb, thank you for the great pics. Really nice work.

I find most of what you do breathtaking and this is no exception. A spectacular 100th piece. Keep up the excellent work.
Nick

What a spectacular piece for you century mark. I have what I believe is your small hunter from your JS test. I just looked at that and then reviewed these pictures. You have come so far so fast.....continue your journey, it's gonna be one heck of a ride! And don't forget to take Caleb with you so we get to see all of the milestones.

Kevin

Thanks for the critique Jos. I will keep that in mind if I ever do another inlay like this.

Thanks Nick! I'll let Caleb know.

Hi Ian, I hope I will continue to learn new concepts and apply them to #200

Rob, it's been a pleasure making this knife for you and I'm looking forward to when it's in your hands also. I have thoroughly enjoyed talking with you and thanks for sharing your input and ideas for this knife to make it extra special.

What everyone else said times two!

I would like to see #1 for comparison.Greg

That can be arranged. I think I'll have Caleb take a picture of it after he catches up on some video editing for me.

Kyle another stunning piece, just when I think you are at the top of the ladder, you go up a few rungs more!! The way you are progressing can't think how my knife will turn out in September 2011. All the best Rick.:D:D:D:D

Here is a new picture Caleb took. I think he did a great job on this one. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful knife Kyle

I simply have not seen any knife made by you that is not 1st class :thumbup:

Wow! That's amazing. Just beautiful.

Kyle,
what served as inspiration for the design element of the butt, not a "D" guard but on the idea? It looks almost like a "spur".
David

Caleb has come so far with his photography.
The images are stunning a is the knife of course.

David, Kyle answers your question regarding the butt in his opening post.

Ah, ..thanks Kevin!

Caleb, those shots are awesome!

Kyle, when I saw pics if #100 I thought it would be a beautiful piece to add to my big knife display. Now that I have handled it, the feel-in-the-hand is outstanding. It could be used as a fighter without a second thought. Fits my hand wonderfully and the balance is superb.
You know my martial background and I appreciate that the knives you make for me take that into consideration as well as being high art from an aesthetic point of view. It's a real value add for me.

2knife, this is the actual knife that got us talking the design. It is a Dennis Freidly Elmer Keith knife that I acquired several years ago. It's a tank and I love it.
