Folks,
Yesterday was good day around here. I finally struck the first blows with my rebuilt 100# Little Giant. A little history on the hammer it was the 2nd hammer shipped in 1944 and it went to Omaha Nebraska. Now it resides in Diller. One set back I did have was the sow block. The original sow block had cracked in the dove tail. The original sow blocks were cast hollow so I went to solid sow block that Sid currently offers. You'll notice the color difference in the photos. It also has oversize flat dies, which will make it nice for straightening billets.
Other than that things worked out well. I'm gonna work down some of Don III's W-2 today and try to run it in a little more.
