No, kids don't take these to school with you, they are knives that I made while teaching a basic bladesmithing class. The first knife the students make in the class is a small hunter like this and these three were made by me while I was demonstrating the processes. A fun time.

Top one is sold
Middle knife is sold.
All three are sold. Thank you all.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind
Machine finish
Curly maple handle (not stabilized but a good 12 hour soak in linseed oil and dyed)
Overall length: approximately 7 1/2 inches
Blade: +/- 3 3/4 inches
Riveted leather scabbard

$100 delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com A check with time to clear or USPS money order are OK too.

Not in high school Vege-Taco, at Tryon Arts and Craft School.
I was asked by a vocational high school teacher one time to come in and demonstrate knife forging but when the administration heard about it there was a real prissy fit about knives in school and the demo was canceled. It shows me as a real geezer but I remember when I was in high school the math teacher needed to cut a string and asked "does anyone have a knife?" Dozens of pocket knives were laid on her desk and she took her pick for the job. Can't do that now.

Yeah, I'm only 39, but I was able to carry any pocket knife I wanted all the way through grade school, high school, and college. I don't know what the campus rules were in college, but nobody complained anyway. :D

When I was in the 5th grade one of my classmates brought a machine pistol to school. He also routinely carried a Walther PP in his bike bag. The teacher thought the machine gun was cool.

i always took a pocketknife to school, and im only 28...but no one knew about it either. I always thought it was a ridiculous rule, how is a SAK classic going to hurt anyone? and what kind of dumbass would try to hurt someone with a SAK classic? lol these are gorgeous...ill take the top one, if its available, please send your payment info to cghinky@yahoo.com and ill send an email too.

Thanks John. I will get your knife in the mail first thing in the morning. Looks like you will outdo us on the grandkids though. I just dropped my wife off at the airport so she could greet #10.

My "School Knife" was received in fine shape on Saturday, April 2nd. This is a unique addition to my growing collection of Gerry's "Jewels". Thank you Gerry. Nice work!
