I'm one of those people that lives here in WSS, I'll venture out occasionally, but this is my "forum home". I've been shocked many times by the generosity of the people here. Endless giveaways and passarounds, people are eager to share knowledge and even extra supplies. I've asked general questions about knives before, and people have offered to send them to me, and some have even let me keep them! I've got beeswax on the way now, and I've still got a huge pile of 4mm orange trash bags that are great. I had a lot of support recently as well in dealing with cancer. I've also had several extremely generous knifemakers offer me discounts.

I've also spent some time learning how to make knives in the Makers section.

Anywho, I felt that since BF and WSS are so awesome, I'd upgrade my membership to support the site. I'm planning on doing a giveaway soon, I just have to decide what I'd like to giveaway first! And, I'm going to finally put some clothes on, and pick a new name.

So thanks to everyone for being not just knowledgeable, but for being full of wisdom and class.

 :D

L!

Edited to add: Thanks for helping me spend my money on knives too!

No problem bro. You post some good stuff as well.

I think of all of you as some sort of extended family, and am proud to call many of you friends. Except Tonym. Whata douche.:jerkit: :D

Feeling much better. Still can't walk much. My wife borrowed a wheel chair from our church, and we went for a short "ride" in the park while my son played. It was great to get out, but that took a lot out of me.

I'll be doing much better when I get my new custom Breeden this week!

I've got an Oncology appointment this Thursday to see what the next step in treatment is. Thanks for asking!

Man, stay strong bro. I wish you a speedy recovery, and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I guess I was not aware of what happened to you but I went through some bad stuff and was lucky or blessed enough to bounce back pretty well. Much of my recovery time was spent on these forums as well, this place sure feels like home and these guys sure feel like friends. I hope you get out soon and keep contributing to these family discussions.:D

If you lived in North Dakota, you would have got some cloths a long time ago.

Its great to have you here, and I wish nothing but the best for you. Don't let a lil thing like cancer get you you down, you can beat it!!!!!!

Here's to another 1000 from you!

Thanks for the update. Us old guys forget things fast.;) I had Lung Cancer about eight years ago and they had to remove about 2/3 of the right lung. Further trouble came with a heart attack in the recovery room after the Cancer surgery. They called the family and it didn't look good. I was in a coma for about six weeks. They checked me very close with x-rays and CAT scans for five years but nothing else ever showed up. They said after five years they consider it cured.

Things turned out well for me and in a couple days I am leaving for hunting camp. I will enjoy seeing all the old hunting friends that I once thought i would never see again, My wonderful wife of 41 years has always stood by me and God has treated me very well. I also broke my foot and leg about two years ago and went a year without walking. That ended up last year at hunting season time. I can't walk like I did years ago but I do pretty well walking except in deep snow.

Go get check ups guys and gals early spotting of these things can turn things in your favor.
