I have a new and unused 1000 grit Japanese ceramic stone here, trying to get a new lansky turnbox or perhaps a used spyderco sharpmaker.
thanks for looking, can post pics if requested but is basically your standard Japanese stone.

I have a deluxe lansky in great shape with an extra diamond stone for it. I use waterstones and the lanksy barely got used.

Do you have any experience or knowledge of the effectiveness of the deluxe system on recurve blades? I was looking for the turnbox or sharpmaker because I have heard it is easier to do recurves with rods than flat stones. The Lansky deluxe looks like it might be more effective, but I will do some research and get back to you asap. Thanks for looking, I will be in touch shortly.
