Hi,

I'm fast approaching my 1000 post. And I want to celebrate! I belonged to many different types of forums, some for many years now. And I have never, ever posted this many times anywhere else.

From Jackknifes stories to Blue's customs to Waynorth's seemingly bottomless collection, to the Maker's here who share their work and knowledge. And everyone here. You Guys and Gals make this a special place for me to come and hang out. It means a lot to me and all of you have given to me laughs and smiles, and even an uplift in spirit when things haven't gone well.

For all this I give to each and everyone here, a big and hearty Thank You!

Now, enough maudlin' sentiment. Let's get to the give-away!

Let's run this until next Monday evening, August 15. I will use a random number generator to pick the winners. Your post number will be your entry. You will need to have at least ten posts here in the Traditional. Forum. And first pick gets first choice, second, the second choice. And the third pick, well, you get what the little piggy got I guess. :p:D And a photo of your current favourite(s) slip-joint will be much appreciated by me.

Here are photos of what's up. Three favourites of mine. Like me, they are older and no longer shiny new. But still more than up to the task. And all good carbon steel blades.

A Camillus TL-29. I don't think it's ever been used.

Dale, this is not an entry...just a thank you for your kind thoughts and for your contributions toward making this forum the special place it is. Thanks!:cool:

Oh, and next Sunday is August 15th. (I know this because it is my 23rd wedding anniversary. :p)

Thanks for change. I'm not U.S. but if my number gets something, I'll glady pay shippings. Thank you also for you generosity. That Schrade 12OT is might fine looking knife.

Good deal Dale ! Very nice! (I'll pass, but most generous)

I'm in, as this will be my first chance at a give-away! Thank you very much, and that TL-29 is great. I'll post a pic of my newest oldie when my daughter gets home. I'm not up to speed on that yet.

Hi,

Oh geez, you are correct! Well, Sunday evening it is!:o And if I forget, Happy Anniversary!!!!

And yes, foreign entries are welcome. Though we will probably have to figure out shipping. I've never shipped over-seas.

Please don't count me in, Dale! I too, just wish to say thanks for your GA, and other contributions! Nice knives on offer here!

Nice one, Dale. I've seen you posting on the other forums, too. Glad to see you getting the mostest out of BF.

Don't include me, though I appreciate you generosity.

I want in. Any of those would be welcome at my house.

My favorite changes frequently. Sometimes more than once a day. Sometimes not for many weeks, but I like all of the knives I've got. The traditionals are my thing. Yes, I have a great Benchmade knife that I carry quite a lot, but I generally (especially since camping out in Bladeforums/Traditionals) have been carrying my traditional slip joints and occasionally a traditional lockblade.

I used my smooth yellow bone Copperlock today. So that's my favorite today.

Congratulations, Dale, I'm in. Check my count, I might be starting my grand g-a just about when yours completes.

Just got this one for my birthday a couple weeks back, and it's moved to No. 1 on the charts, for me at least.

Congrats on 1K Dale and thanks for the chance. Like Ed, it's hard for me to pick just one favorite because I like them all for different reasons. This barlow is the one that's been in my pocket for the last couple of weeks and it will probably stay there until the next one comes.

Those are some fine knives, and I'm sure, much like you, they've gotten better with time! Thanks for the chance.

I really need to take some better photos, but for now, please enjoy this grainy cell phone photo of two of my favs, a Case Soddie and a Buck 310:
