Hi,

I thought we all had to get a permission slip from Elliot to leave the forum. How else is he going to keep his argus eye on us.:D:D

But it's good to see you home all rested up and refreshed.

Dale, I got your package today. What a great knife. I mearly gave it a bath in dishwashing liquid, and tomorrow it goes into the soup (mineral oil)for an hour and then some of my buck oil.The patina is great and the brass is a beautiful brown.
I particularly appreciate the note you wrote. It is akin to the people that frequent the traditional forum. Yes I will use it and aways think of the good people here. Its already cleaned up, just a light cleaning and the natural patina is great, including the brass. I'll give it a mineral bath and oil it up and it will be good to go. Thank you very much.

Steve

Hi,

It's good to see it leaning on that post! The colors are what drew me to it also. I know i didn't clean it, but it felt like it has good snap to the blades.

Enjoy using it. It's what Schrade's are meant for!

Dale,

I also received my package today with a beautiful Camillus TL-29 in it. Very nice knife that is really big with very strong snaps. Thank you so much. I will try to do a photo shoot of it soon. Take Care and thanks again!!! Ash

Well I am new to the forum and Congrats on your 1000th post!! I am posting for my 2nd time haha. I carried an "Old Timer" similar if not identical to the Schrade 12OT listed above. I got it as a gift from my grandfather when I was 8 or 9 and still have it. I have always loved them, very practical. I have to say though that Case Yellow bone copperlock is calling my name! Great looking knife!

Hi,

Ah good to hear it arrived Ash! Yeah, you be careful with that TL-29. It's got a snap that could give the best of GEC a real run for the money!:) And it is a beast of a knife isn't it. I'll be looking forward to your photos!

Thank you Jeephat! The 12OT is a great little knife, particularly one that was a gift from your Grandfather. Do you still have it?

Dale

Hi Dale,

I received my knife as well, thank you, the note was a very nice touch.
