This is my 1000th post. I've been here almost two years. I just want to say thank you for making me feel welcome here, and say how much I've enjoyed making friends and meeting people here. I appreciate all the valuable technical contributions from folks like Kevin, Mete and Stacy and others, and being around brilliant quirky Tai, The amazing Bruce Bump, and the warm friendships of David, Jim and so many others. And very strange Ren, who has been generous with his time and helpful to me and my wife learning about our son with autism. You folks are some of the best people I've ever met. Thank you.

The tradition here, with the 1000th post, is a give away of some kind. I'm going to give away a small custom knife, which is of little utility to the folks here in this sub forum who can make their own little knifes, so I'll give one away in W&C where the kooks might actually want it. I guess I better get one ready...

Again, I greatly value the friendships I've made here. You folks have a great holiday!

I was not aware there was supposed to be a special giveaway for the 1000th post, I'll have to wait for 2000 and make it something special then :D.

Congrats Nathan! I wish I offered half as much good info as you do to this forum.

Congratulations Nathan, and let me take this opportunity to thank you for all you've offered here too. I've always found your posts to be particularly valuable and thoughtful.

Have a wonderful holiday season!

Makes ya wonder how many knives you could have finished if you weren't spending so much time sittin behind the screen.:D

 That's funny, my wife says the same thing....

Nathan,

Hey, you've been productive on here! I'm still shy of 1000 and have been on here for 6+ years! Maybe your wife is right. :D ;) I used to lurk a whole lot just reading up on things and didn't actually start posting much until about 2 years ago. Congrats on the 1000 and thanks for all of your valuable insight and input into this site. It's definitely helped all of us at one time or another.

Oh, and I love the knives you make! Great look to them.

Happy 1000th Nathan!
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for taking part in our disfunctional family here. I look up to you because I still cant remember what "CNC" means. Let me know when you are giving the knife away so I can go over to the kooks forum.

I forgot to do something for my 1000 so I'm with Sam, gonna do a 2000 :D Congrats!!!

It has been great to have you here on the forum, Nathan. It is always nice to have somebody called "the machinist" to ask questions about lathes and milling machines to!

Done good Bubba. :thumbup:Once you have been here as long as me you stop count after 9000. HEHEHEHEHE!!! I'll be here 10 years in a couple of months.

What forum are you doing your give away in? I want to get over there too! Thanks for all your great posts! Keep them coming!!!

Well as much as I'd love a chance at winning a knife of yours, I'm afraid that forum is a bit too wild for my blood. Good luck to all the folks over there.

I'll give it a scotchbrite finish on the bevels in the morning (currently tumbled) and take some picts in some better light.

Well I'm 15 days short of 4 years and I haven't broke 100. I am a true lurker. Maybe I will give something away at 250... we'll see. Can't wait to get in on that giveaway, its a beauty.
