100th 34OT with tin

I have two 100th anniversary 34OT's in the tin still clampacked. Can someone tell me why mine have the round 100th pin in the tin and why all the ones I see on ebay have a square schrade classics pin in the tin?

Production was interupted by the forced bankruptcy and closing. Someone bought the unpackaged knives and tins, and mated them with whatever pins they could find.
