100th Anniv. Bowie's back!

Anybody remember what it went for last time.I wonder if the diamonds would stay glued in if I batoned it through a 2x4.Arnold

Arnold, if you're going to be splitting wood with it, the first thing you want to do is to slick the blade up by getting some sandpaper and removing all the artwork from it.

Naw I'm lazy.I use my sidegrinder for that.I like the serrations it puts on the blade.BTW where you been.Haven't seen you around much.Arnold

As the seller mentions, Christmas is just around the corner. Now it would only take 35 of you generous gents to buy this puppy for me. Make that 34. I'll even pony up some for such a splended example of a knife. Just a suggestion. I know you've all been wondering what to get me for Christmas, and I can assure you that my wife and kids won't be getting me the same thing!

Codger :D

Don't they use diamond blades to cut concrete?
Eric

Yes we do. And the price of this knife would buy six of them.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank you all in advance from the bottom of my heart for your most generous outpouring of comradery and dollars. This will indeed be a Christmas to remember, and I'll treasure the knife always.

Excuse me. I have to go download some free e-thank-you cards from Bluemountain.com.

Codger

That was a high quality "Double Grovel" in true Schrade Collector's Forum fashion.....  :D

Boy this is a change. Before you said you wanted a pair of balls and thong for Christmas.Arnold

Codger,
If everyone else chips in for the knife I'll take care of the shipping details for you. ;)
Eric

...never mass produced the blurb states....weeeelllll I've heard Taylor Schmucks is producing something similar in China at the moment for the mass market.. gold paint instead 24carat ,special chinee glass instead of diamonds, genuine plastic staglon ,the brass bits they can genuinely match, and the blue paint SS blade and the peanut instead of walnut presentation case. Hell it even comes with a certificate of authenticity and those pesky designers put a U.S. flag on it again against strict instructions not to, and noone saw it till 5 million had been printed and distributed.
Titled 'The First Great Project"...true enough none of the others have been.... Hoo Roo

I got balls now. And hats. And travel mugs. And thongs. What I don't have is a diamond and gold encrusted stag handled 100th Anniversary knife. I been good this year. Ask Santa, he'll tell ya. Ask my postmaster, he'll vouch for me. He knows me quite well.

Um... they didn't make a matching sharpfinger, did they?

Codger

Codger,
I must admit your grovel quality has greatly improved since the last one. :D
I would have to score this one 9.97 and the green balls makes it a solid 10.0!

If you keep this up I will personally send you a genuine made in Ireland Frontier for Christmas. :D :D :D :D (only one of 10,000 made).

Dale

IT's back.Michael get your grovel ready looks like you get one more chance.Different seller, this time out of California.Maybe LT will get it this time.Arnold

I have that knife as my screensaver and thats a lot less than the $3500 previously sought. Why would you have to register? I bought a $12,000 boat on Ebay and noone ever asked me a question about myself.!
Whilst looking at that last link for the Commemorative by Codger ,I saw "another similar knife by Ebay Seller" displayed Item #270018465593 for a Schrade Stag Handled UH Golden Spike which the seller states he can find no record of Schrade ever producing this knife, and is priced at US$499.99!
I recently purchased Schrade Stag Handled Golden Spike Rocky Mountain Elk for $158.56 Mint Item#300030697398. Obviously they were made and I reckon I got the better deal! Posted just for further Schrade info. Hoo Roo from Oz.
