This set has been in progress for quite a while now, it has taken me more time than I planned...

But the daggers and the box is just about done, just some minor tweeks left, like aligning all parts on the lids of the box.
I am also considering heat-coloring the torx screws in a bronze hue.
I still need to sharpen and polish the blades.

The blades are made from Damasteel. Handles have fileworked centerpieces of nickelsilver, fileworked bronze liners and striped ebony scales.

I went a little overboard on the box perhaps, but one of the daggers is my 100th knife so I thought it be nice to kind of celebrate that fact!
The base of the box is made with Teakwood (I think). I cut the grooves in the wood for the walls and the braided leather by hand with my dremel. All metal details are made from Damasteel except for the posts that hold the lids, they are carbon steel damascus.
The "knobs" used for opening the box are mounted on small rare-earth magnets that can be seen in the pictures. But there are two more (on each side) countersunk into the leather beneath the bases of the knobs to enhance the slight snap you get when closing the lids.
The lids and walls are lined with thin black leather and the daggers rest on harefur.
This box need to be seen as these (quick) pictures don`t do it justice.

What do you think?

I am as impressed with the knives as I am with the display case. Which is to say VERY impressed.

The box is every bit as awesome as the daggers, but they both really show a lot of artistry!!You can tell a lot of thought and planning went into this set.

A fantastic package. The shape of the presentation case works really well with the shape of the daggers. All the way around, really well done.

YOW WOW!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you for sharing your wonderful art here, Magnus!
Your creations are always a treat to see!!!

Not a real push dagger guy but your craftmanship and especially your display is outstanding

Gorgeous work! I like all the little details and how the center dagger if split down the center is a mirror image to the dagger on each respectful side. The display is just as stunning. If I were to attempt to carve that kind of detail into something I could only imagine how much material I would go through to get it right.

Congrats on your 100th!

Darren

Thank you all for all kind words, I truly appreciate it!

You've only made 100 knives, give or take? That's very impressive.
Thanks! Yes they are number 99, 100 and 101 :)

Thank you very much!
Yes the dagger in the middle of the set is a cross between the two on each side! No one who has seen the knives up close have comented on that yet :)

Thanks again everyone!

WOW!!! it''s hard to believe that you have only made 101 knives. What did you do before you took up knifemaking? I have thrown away 100 knives in a little over 3 years!!:D

Thank you very much!

Before making knives I was(and still am) into longbow archery, so I made leather quivers and other equipment I needed. Don`t get around to make much of that any more thou...

Well it has taken me about seven years to make my 101 knives...
In the begining I could not afford to throw away stuff so I was(still am) overly carefull with every move, it kind of stuck with me :)
Currently I work fulltime besides making knives, so each one is made in what I feel is the time it needs to take to be done. I am now certainly not the fastest knifemaker out there, but the joy and passion I feel for this craft is my main reason for doing this. And I intend to keep making knives for as long as my trembling limbs will let me. And I do hope it takes a very very long time for them to start trembling too! :)

Never really gotten too excited over push daggers, however this is an extraordinary set.

Exceptional design and craftsmanship Magnus!

I also find the display case to be VERY impressive as are the push daggers.

Pleasure seeing them.
