100th Post giveaway :)

Had a chance to score a Spyderco Military for $70 here, but
my hesitation let 5 people post "I'll take it" before me. And
like that it was gone.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I bought an all stainless Police Spydeco with a full spyder edge and some savage stole it out of my house along with about $15k worth of mine and my roommates gear. I loved that knife even though I only had it a few weeks.

Had the sweetest little Case stockman. Carbon steel blades were easily the sharpest in my collection. Carried it with me everywhere; until I was traveling (business trip) and lost it eating dinner in the hotel resturant. Must have fallen out of my pocket. Went back and asked the staff, but they denied finding any knives. I hope whoever found it i still enjoying it. Wish that someone was me.

Another Ebay story here. Saw a nice John Deere Case brand trapper in the tin, brand new. It was not titled properly and the bids were low. It was ending in about a 1/2 hour, and I was waiting for it. At about 10 minutes to go, I went and sat in the recliner by the woodstove with my netbook. Cruising the forums and checking the auction. 3 minutes to go now....... think I'll close my eyes just for a second..........Yup, when I opened them up next, the auction had closed at about $17.00 or so. Still could kick myself in the butt for that stunt. Well, anyway, that's my story, and it has happened more tha once too. Thanks for the chance to win this tool. At my 100th post I am going to give something away as well. Keeps things interesting.

I had an early production model Benchmade 806D2 but I sold it on eBay for not much money because it was tip up only and I was used to carrying tip down.

Now I carry everything tip up and those knives sell for around $200. I shouldn't have let it get away.

i had been really wanting a paramilitary. after getting z zt0302 in a trade i put it up on here looking for a para. sadly, befor i got any para offers some bills came up and i had to sell it on the bay. a day after i put it up i got an email offering a para. :( iwas soo close!

somone on this forum told me hed sell me a battle mistress but i couldnt do it because im poor : D

its too much money for that knife anyways. if i got arrested for sleeping in the woods (lol) cop would have a brand new shiny BM im sure. or maybe get jumped in the woods by a man wanting my blade.

I don't regret missing deals much but I did once take too long to look up the specs on a Mnandi that was on bst for ~$220...
I was still a rookie with owning CRK knives at that point so missed out on the knife even though the post that took it was about 30 minutes after I first saw it :o. Regardless, there is always another fish to catch & there's no harm if a fellow BFer nabs one sooner.

btw... hope you have yourself a great Bday! ;)

I do A LOT of buying on ebay, and once a user Bradley Alias was listed there with a starting bid of $50.00 no reserve price and best of all the auction ended in 1 hour with no bids. I added it to my watch list and decided to wait until the last 5 seconds of the auction to place my bid. So, the last 5 sceonds came up, to submit my bid and right when I hit the place bid button my computer froze and it didn't take me to the confirm bid page. I was so angry  because in the last 3 seconds some other guy swooped in and placed a bid, and took the knife home :grumpy: This, experience taught me to never ever trust a computer in the last few seconds of an auction.

I've never won anything here on BF but it never hurts to try. Thanks for the opportunity man.

I am in!
Thanks for the giveaway!

I will tell a story from when I was a little kid; about 7 years old. I had a dream where I found a really beautiful knife. It had fancy white pearl handles and two main blades. It was like a traditional folder -maybe a two blade jackknife. It was such a nice knife that I became aware I was dreaming -it snapped me into a lucid dream! (yah, the knife nut thing is deep:D). I became greedy, all I could think about in the dream was that I wanted to keep this knife and wake up. Somehow, my 7 year old mind thought, there must be a way to keep this knife. I grasped it really tight into my hand, closed my eyes and actually woke myself up. I did my best to maintain a tight grip on my dream knife. As the haze began to lift I found that I was in a a funny position. I was in a crawling position, with my elbows on the bed; my right hand was in a tight fist and my left was grasping it. I could still feel the knife in my hands as I was waking up and I became extremely excited (I am talking 7 year old spaztastic excitement -eyes wide open and all). Once the haze had almost cleared I had a stark realization -my hand felt kind of empty. I quickly opened my hand to see a beautiful pearl handled two blade jackknife disappear in from of my eyes. It was only the remnants of a dream. I was very dissatisfied that night and even the next morning. All I could think was that it was not fair.

Even today, I look for that knife, at least one like it. I can never seem to find anything that comes close. Whenever I think of a knife that got away -that is the first one that comes to my mind.

About a year ago, I tried winning an NIB Camillus CUDA MAXX 5 and lost the auction by $4.00
The final cost was $138. They now sell (on eBay) for around $240 in that condition.

I missed out on going to the spyderco factory second sale(for the first time)this year because I had to go help a family member move out of a five bedroom home. I am still pretty bummed about missing it, maybe winning my first give away on BF will help ease my pain *HINT*HINT*.Thanks for the chance at a great giveaway
