Its Bucks "new" edge geometry. (Edge 2000) They went to more of a hollow grind and a steeper bevel on the cutting edge. I have an older one now with a steep cutting edge. It cuts like a hot knife through butter ;)

I could never get that old edge sharp, but now with the E2K I am pretty good at it!
 
there is a DU verson of a Marples skiner that is sweet looking
these dont draw over 50$ most times and
is a better looking blade then the reg 103
and have brass handles i think
but i got CRS and cant recall what it was numbered
