Hello everybody!
Just finished this fighter and it's a beast! I wanted to do a coffin style handle which did not turn as I had it in my mind. Nonetheless, it's comfortable in the handle and wedges nicely.
Steel: 1075+cr
Handle: oil blackened guard with purple heart handle.
Dimensions:
Overall lenght: 39.5 cm - 15.55''
Blade lenght: 24.5 cm - 9.64''
Blade widht: 4.8 cm - 1.88''
Blade thickness: 6 mm - 0.236''
Handle lenght: 13 cm - 5.11''
The blade is differentially heat treated and has a hamon. It could serve as a great heavy camper as well. The tang goes all the way through the handle, only the very end is threaded for the washer+nut. The tang has been pinned over the nut, it will not come loose.
It comes as is or with a simple dark brown leather sheath and a belt loop. The sheath is not ready yet, you can choose for either left or right side carry.
