The Simple Shadow is what happens when you simplify a planned design but don't want a new name. :)

The simple part refers to the cord wrap handle rather than a time intensive scale handle. The finish is an acid blackening process that also provides significant corrosion protection. It's not stainless steel and does get scratched off, but it requires a lot less care and any small bit of corrosion is unlikely to be as noticeable. It can also be easily retouched with a brass black type product available at most sporting goods stores or gun shops. I went for an aged patina as the solution I use does not allow a completely perfect black finish on 1080. If you clean the blade with a little oil it gets darker, if you leave it dry it is a deep gray with a hint of brown in the lighter spots.

Stats are:
1/8" 1080 steel hardened and tempered to ~59rc for a tough but hard edge. This knife is meant to see a lot of use and abuse in the field not get pampered.
Single sided flat grind with standard two sided secondary grind for the edge to make life easy with the sharpening tools on the market.
Length 9 7/16"
Blade length 3 5/8" from sharpened edge to tip.
Blade design is a modified drop point with a long belly for field dressing game.
Height 1 7/16"
Thong hole is 1/4"
The price is $60 (Sold) plus shipping. Shipping domestic via USPS with insurance and delivery confirmation will be $14. I prefer paypal but other options are possible.
SOLD
