1082 High Carbon Steel?

Okay, maybe THIS WILL satisfy you, if not, threads over.... I am not a knife MAKER.... I am a knife BUILDER. I take components, put them together, and sand and sand, and oil and rub, and bead last, etc.... I USED to temper my own steel years ago 30+, but don't have the time, resources, or strength to to that anymore. So I buy blanks that are already tempered. I put an edge on them, I take pieces of wood and build handles. Some fancy, some simple...
I really hope that clears it up.....
Past my bedtime. It's no friggin wonder we now have a congress and senate that can't get anything done. Too much yak mouthin or stuff that really makes not one iota of difference in the overall picture. The only thing that matters is that someone concedes that someone else is right.
Okay Mike, you are right.

We should be done now.... Nobody probably gives a rats ass about the knife, whether it is good, or crap. If anyone does, let me know, otherwise, thread is dead...

well, this thread turned confusing... OP, have you done anything besides looking at the knife you got? Sharpened it? Cut things with it? Does it at least have Otataral magic dampening properties?
 
I think "lack of meds" or maybe "too much meds.":D That was a Twi-Light zone thread but was pretty close to being a classic if Big Mike would've played it right. Ha!:thumbup::p

A few things. We don't talk about politics outside of the Political Arena. If you want to talk politics or make political statements, get a paid membership here and have at it in the PA. Also, you are getting close to making comments about members here and not the topic itself. I would avoid that. As to you being accused of being a vendor at another site, we have no interest in what happened at that other site. If you make or build knives, you are free to post pictures of them here provided you make no attempt to solicit sales or advertise.

This thread is out of whack. We'll see if comes back...if not I'll close it.
