Blade length is 4 3/8 inches long and overall length is 9 1/4 inches. Aldo's 1084 with 15n20 Damascus that is over 3/16 thick at guard with distal taper to point. Flat grind. I got the knife today. It is very ,very nice. As long as I've been seeing Dan's knives posted here I have wanted one. They looked spectacular. I thought perhaps they were "modular construction" assemblies. I didn't know how a maker could make his own damascus, use stag for a handle and still make any money on a knife.
I still don't know how Dan does it but it's done well. The plunge lines are right and the blade finish is first class. The stag looks like it had to come off of a Victorian carver.:thumbup:
This won't be the last of Dan's knives in my collection. YOU guys are going to have to be very quick on the trigger now.:D
