I forged this from Aldo's 1084. It is nearly a flat grind, but I used the small section of my new rotary platen from Beaumont. It puts a very slight convex on the knife. I clay coated the steel for a nice hamon and I fileworked the spine within the confines of the handle.

The scales are maroon micarta. It is quite dark and looks like deep brown micarta. It appears much like wood grain. It is all held together with peened pins and acraglas.

The sheath is 7-8oz hand tooled leather. The knife is held snugly and draws easily.

Dimensions
Blade - 4 1/8" tip to handle
OAL - 8 1/4"

Price - $225 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

You did a great job on this sheath Matt. I really like the tooling. Look forward to getting another pocket knife from you.

The sheath is drum dyed from wickett and craig. The only thing that I put on was some highlighter. It darkens it a bit, but most of it wipes off.

It's a good thing it's not bigger and I just did a budget projection out to June or this blade would be mine. I love your blades Matt.

I also thought the sheath was outstanding and I loved how you integrated that scaling with the line down the length of the blade. Very creative.

WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY. I knew I should have got on here last night. Man, that is a great looking knife. Maybe next time I will look before I go to bed. LOL

I like my knife I bought from Matthew more than any of my knives. It is first class work.
This one is a great looking knife.

I usually don't much care for the "hammer mark" look but this knife is a very handsome piece. Nice work!
