Heres a nice piece i just finished. I forged from 1084, the blade has a hamon, with all the oxides polished off. Its not very visable in the photo but its pretty cool. the handle is crotch walnut with a hand rubbed oil finish. the guard is fire blued 1018. The blade is secured with fiberglass epoxy as well as one 3/16'' nickle silver pin.
Measures 15 1/2'' overall, 10 1/2'' tip to guard, and 1 7/8'' at the widest.
