Here is another one of my fixed blade hunters. The blade is forged from Aldo's 1084. It has been clay quenched for a nice hamon. It has been hand polished to 2000 grit to really bring out the details of the hamon.

The handle is natural canvas micarta. It is held in place with peened pins one mosaic and acraglas.

The sheath is one hand tooled 8-9oz leather from Wickett and Craig. The knife draws easily and holds securely.

Blade - 3 1/4" tip to handle
OAL - 7 1/4"

Ha Ha...I had a guy ask me at my last knife show to see my hands. I forge quite a bit, but can't seem to get my hands to look like someone who swings a hammer for a living. I guess that is because my main job has me working with students and not doing too much physical labor. When I retire (in about 20 years) I am sure my hands will be nice and calloused. I am actually proud when I have been forging and my hands get a little rough. I feel like a pink skinned knifemaker....I am so embarrassed! :)
 
That's a demon hamon on a great set of scales toffee brown mmm to the whole package .
Damn checked the price why do we in the uk get royally shafted by customs do you ship international ?.
Just a future question unfortunately other commissions put me out of the game right now ;).
 
Nice hamon on that 1084! I always get a laugh when some say you can't get a hamon on 1084! Yours are the best I've seen.
 
Thanks Mudbug. I actually apply the clay differently depending on if I am using 1095, 1084 or W2.
 
I simply cannot believe this. I've looked at your knives for a while now and I've missed several that I really wanted.

This is a beautiful knife and I love everything about it.

I WILL TAKE THIS KNIFE! :)
