Edge was pretty consistent at .070. No thinner than that. My plan, which may have been wrong, was to bring it down and smooth out the grind a little post heat treat. I have a Kalamazoo Grinder and it's single speed. I was going to take it to another shop with a burr king with a VFD and finish it up to 400 before hand sanding. The grind is flat from 3/8" from the edge to the spine. The last 3/8 is slack belt ground. I like to think the grind is flatter than it appears because I'm pretty good with a file, however you guys are all much better and more experienced than me so that could be the cause of it. Also, keep in mind that blade is 2.5" wide, 14" long, and has all east a 7" handle. So scale may be throwing off perception. How ever, I will check it later today and see how good it actually is.
ETA- Your right. It's pretty much 2 separate grinds meeting in a slight convex. Also not as smooth when a straight edge is placed on it.
