here is one i forged a couple weeks ago and finished today.

details

measurementsare 10 1/4'' o.a.l., blade is 5 3/16'' tip to plunge, and just over 3/4'' at the widest point.

blade is flat ground and clay quenched. the finish is a satin finish, then i etched in vinegar/citric powder solution, then cold blued, and buffed of slightly to give a little bit of a worn patina look.

handle is 3/16'' black linen micarta stacked up, and the spacers are nickle silver. the butt cap is a file worked chunk of 60 some layer damascus, made from thin h/c stock, and it is threaded onto the tang, but to really keep the handle tight i also epoxyed it all together.
price drop $150 paypal accepted.......oh yeah that includes a hand stitched sheath

thanks for looking,

andrew takach

thanks nitro,

another note to add , the blade was ground to absolute zero, then the edge polished, creating flat ground blade with a slightly convex edge.

this knife is razor sharp, and will be a easy one to maintain.

Hello atakach,I was wondering of the thickness of the spine on this knife,,,,thx for any info.
Toxey,

Yeah no prob., it's a hair over 1/8'' at the plunge, and about 1/2'' at the bolster.

thanks

andrew

again- amazed this hand forged knife is still available.
Some dude out there has got to have $150 for a gift for his lady. This knife would KICK ASS in the kitchen, or at the camp site.
If I could, I would. There has got to be someone out there who could...:)
