I hand forged this from 1090 hc round stock, it is 8 7/8'' o.a. and has a blade of 4'' tip to choil.

The blade is hand rubbed and clay quenched and etched to show hamon. The handle is from a 54 year old dogwood tree. I know this because my great grandfather planted it when he built his home. This wood has a terrific pattern and has been dry for a couple years now.

price is $140 shipped within the U.S.
paypal accepted.

That's a gorgeous knife, Andrew, with some great history behind it.

more than you know, ya see my grandmothers dad planted that tree, about 54 yrs. ago. After marrying , my g. mother, moved into that house, she loved that tree, one reason being they say the cross Jesus hung on was dogwood.

Another interesting thought , at her dads funeral a woman sang the "old rugged cross" so i told her with the bigger pieces of wood I'd have her a music box made that played the same hymn. needless to say she was emphatic.

sorry for going on an on...................andrew takach
