Here is a nice full tang guardless knife for the guys that don't like hidden tangs or guards. im calling it the "bushcraft #!"

OAL- 8 1/8"

blade- 3 7/8" long, .093" thick at the spine, .040" measured 1/4" back from the edge, and .018" at the shoulder of the edge, 1" wide

steel- High Performance 1095, with in-house differential heat treatment which includes triple normalize, triple anneal, triple edge quench, and triple draw, for a high performance blade, that holds a great edge, and yet is easy to sharpen!

grind- a full flat grind, sharpened on a 325 DMT stone with micro bevels, to an agressive razor edge

finish- Quick rubbed 400 grit handsanded finish. although the blade has not been etched, in the right light you can see the hardening line pretty plainly

handle- a very nice piece of Bocote, with a 400 grit finish for a nice looking, yet secure grip, and brass corby bolts

guard- none

sheath- 11-12 ounce dyed leather. these sheaths with knives with no guard do not have the cam or snap fit. but the belt loop adds some tension to hold the knife

$195 plus $15 for shiping/insurance to CONUS. I can accept paypal Joe357m@bresnan.net or money order.

You cannot tell from the pictures how well this knife will cut or how natural it feels in hand. I have about 10 of Joe Calton's knives and i love using them. Somehow they have a 'persona' or presence that is just so enjoyable. This does not come through in pictures either.
I just bought the Boning knife Joe has posted here. If this Bushcraft knife sort of speaks to you, then buy it. I'm sure you will get years of pleasure from it. And his sheath work is tops as well.
