I forged this out of a bar of 1095 a while ago. I thought someone wanted it for Christmas, however at the last second, they decided not to get it. Here it is.
Again, it is 1095. I clay quenched it for a nice hamon. The spine is fileworked and the flats are left with the forge scale. This blade is perfect skinning size, and great for a lot of different tasks.
The handle is stabilized spalted sycamore. I had it stabilized by sending it out to K&G. It does not move, and it looks great on the knife. It is contoured to fit the hand and is held in place with pins and acraglas.
The sheath. This is actually the very first sheath I sewed on my new machine. It is hand tooled, the belt loop is hand stitched, then my machine arrived and I stitched the rest of it on that. The knife fits snugly and draws easily.
Dimensions -
Blade - Just under 3 3/4"
OAL - 8 1/4"
Price - $210 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
The thing that looks like a divot on the cutting edge in the first picture is just some reflection in the mirror edge. You can see that in other pictures the edge is fine.
