Here is one of my hidden tang neckers in thin stock 1095 for a very lightweight light use utility neck knife that is light enough to not be a pain in the neck!!
I have done about everything that I can think of to get the lightest weight for a good sized and handy utility knife. 3/32" 1095, light wood choices, aluminum short guard, ect......
this is designed not to be a "backup weapon" or "survival knife", but a nice lightweight, easy to carry light duty utility knife.
OAL- 6 5/8"
blade- 2 7/8" long, .084" thick at the spine, .037" measured 1/4" behind the edge, and .016" thick at the shoulder of the edge. 11/16" wide
steel- 1095 high carbon, differentially hardened. heat treat includes a double normalize, double anneal, triple edge quench { most of the blades width on these narrow blades} and triple temper for a really nice performing blade that takes and holds a great edge and yet is easy to resharpen!
grind- a full flat grind, sharpened on a Smiths 325 diamond hone with micro bevels, to an agressive razor edge
finish- 400 grit finish on the bevels under scotchbrite belt finish
handle- Bubbinga with brass pin, aluminum guard with green spacer. handle is finished with 200 grit with the lines running across the handle so it looks good yet isn't slick
sheath- .060 thick kydex with small black rivets. stripped paracord, easily adjustable, and I can cut it for my new safety feature if you like.
weight - 2.20 ounces for the total package of knife, sheath and cord. That's about the weight of a Zippo lighter!!!!!! for the WHOLE PACKAGE!!
I did a few videos on youtube on my 2 new lines of neckers:
to explain what I am after in a neck knife https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cgJQJY-gAU
and a destructive test of the Carter style necker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONC3lOkoC9c
$135 plus $5 for shiping/insurance to CONUS. I can accept paypal Joe357m@bresnan.net or money order.

1st to post "I'll take it" gets it!!!

Feedback appreciated, and thanks for looking!
If you would like one like this one or different, PM or email with details!
