I bought some P 50 and AAA HT oil at the show and now can't rember which one is for fast quench for 1095. Can someone help this ole man out Thanks Mike

"50" is the high speed for 1095, 1080,etc. plain carbon steels.

AAA is the slower oil for the likes of O-1 and alloy steels.

Would it be bad to use the fast 50 on 01??????

I do this when doing metallurgical testing and metallography preparation, but my samples are square and symetrical. If things are thin there would be a higher rate of distortion and if too large in cross section one could run into cracking issues with 01 in #50, (1/2" sqaure works, 1" squares have cracked on me). The AAA will give you full hardness in O1 without any of these issues.
