A resist was applied in a pattern, the knife then took a long bath in ferric chloride to cut the pattern. The resist was removed and the oxides ground and buffed off leaving a deep three dimensional pattern.

This is a little double edge dagger for the belt or pocket. 1/16" x 1/2" O1 steel @ RcH ~ 62, a little finger notch on each side. The butt will fit against the palm as the thumb and forefinger are in the notches.
