Hello Blade Forums. I have a knife I would like to offer for sale.
When I made this knife I envisioned it being used to slice loins into steaks or carving a big ham into slices. The 10" diameter hollow grind gives it a razor sharp edge and also aids in the release of the meat from the blade.
The blade is made from Aldo's 1095 heat treated in my Evenheat oven and tempered to target 62 RC. The blade was clayed prior to quenching to produce a nice hamon.
Handle materials are hidden pin brass bolster, brass pins and thong hole tube, stabilized spalted tiger oak, and acrylester.
Asking $150 which includes shipping to CONUS, add $10 for international shipping. Payment via PayPal can be sent to kirbys65@hotmail.com
Hollow ground
Spine: .118" or 3mm
height: 1.25"
Blade length: 8.5"
OAL: 14 3/8"
