well, i usually never make more than one of a knife, but wanted to try something a little different. i recently made a knife of motorcycle chain that i really liked the feel of and decided to modify it a little and down size it some. here's the final product.if there is an interest in these,i will make 8 of them and be and selling them for $55 each. the spec are:

blade : flat ground, bead blasted or clay quenched and etched 1095 (1/8'')

cord : only black as of now but may add additional choices soon

dimensions: 6 3/8 o.a., with a 3'' blade and are 7/8'' wide at choil.

**if you wish to have the blade file worked add $20**

they will also have a lanyard and carry my makers mark.

thank you
andrew takach

***i will be starting on them NOV. 2 ***

I like the look of it but I'm curious why you decided to bead-blast a carbon steel.

for cosmetics mainly, i liked the look of the knife bead blasted, and while carbon steals are prone to rust, as well as bead blasted blades, keep a thin coat of a good oil on it and there will be no prob. i dont work with stainless.

if you would rather i could clay quench and etch instead.

I guess I misunderstood. Did you mean you were taking pre-orders on the batch of 8?

I'm in provided you are willing to do what you said above.....

yes taking pre orders, so as not to waste my time , making unwanted knives. if ya one one speak up, so i have an idea of if this is a good design concept or not. you will not be locked into anything untill i post them officially for sale. i had another maker over yesterday, who seems to think it had a nice feel, and would be a good edc/necker.

also im thinking on having that fellow make some kydex sheaths but they will add few more $ to the total.

yes i will also clay quench and etch.

sorry if i was un clear, but like i said i don't usually do things like this(make more than one of a knife). but i am just trying to get my name arround a little more, and figure ya gotta start small, if ya wanna be big;)

I think the option of kydex sheath is a great idea.
