Here is one of my Carter Pattern neckers, decked out with a handsanded finish, and stabilized walnut burl with green liners. this one is a super light, nice and thin, light to medium use utility knife, for daily cutting uses such as opening mail, trimming fingernails, peeling an apple, making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, ect...

OAL- 6 3/4"

blade- 3 1/4" long, .053" thick at the spine, .024" measured 1/4" behind the edge, and .009" thick at the shoulder of the edge. 3/4" wide

steel- 1095 high carbon, differentially hardened. heat treat includes a double normalize, double anneal, triple edge quench { most of the blades width on these narrow blades} and triple temper for a really nice performing blade that takes and holds a great edge and yet is easy to resharpen!

grind- a full flat grind, sharpened on a Smiths 325 diamond hone with micro bevels, to an agressive razor edge

finish- 400 grit handsanded finish

handle- Stabilized walnut burl with brass pins. handle is finished with 400 grit with the lines running lengthwise with the handle

sheath- .060 thick kydex with small black rivets. stripped paracord, easily adjustable, and I can cut it for my new safety feature if you like.

weight - 2.20 ounces for the total package of knife, sheath and cord. That's about the weight of a Zippo lighter!!!!!! for the WHOLE PACKAGE!!

I did a few videos on youtube on my 2 new lines of neckers:

to explain what I am after in a neck knife https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cgJQJY-gAU

and a destructive test of the Carter style necker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONC3lOkoC9c

I really like your "Murray Carter" pattern! Good job on the neck knife video too and I like the "safety feature" on the kydex sheeth!

Survival steel, that is a nice necker! but this is a for sale thread. I would guess that the right section to talk about that necker would be in the general knife discussion forum. This forum is so huge and comprehensive that it is very easy to get turned around in it. go to the top of this page, and on the top bar, click on "forum", then when that page opens, you will see all the sub forums, and there are ALOT of them! at the very top of the list is "general knife discussion", I would bet that if you posted that necker there, you would have a good time with the discussion.

Lessismore, thanks for the kind words about my necker!!
