1095 on the new Native

I prefer something that holds an edge better than 1095 - like D2 in carbon steel or a good stainless, like VG10.
I wouldn't buy a modern knife with a 1095 blade.
That said, I recently got a GEC in 1095. I can see traditional styles in 1095, but would still prefer a blade that holds an edge better than most simple carbon steels.
the GEC sits in the drawer, while a Spyderco is now in my pocket.

I've used 1095 folders and they are just fine. It's actually a good idea. Though I'd imagine people will put the knife in a dishwasher and ruin the knife irrepairably, then blame Spyderco for it.

why would anyone put their knife in the dishwasher? is this something you do?
