1095 Recurve camp/brush knife

Hey everybody.
This is an honest attempt to make using knife. it is super simple and super reliable. I did heavy testing on its twin and it works like champ (i am keeping that one.. my first keeper)

The only extraordinary thing about this knife is the handle material. I have no idea what it is. It was a throw away at work (they didn't know what it was either) it is opaque, hard, high temperature, and finishes like nothing i have ever worked with. If you buff it, it take a mirror polish. It grinds and shapes better than G10. i have a little more of the stuff, and i hoarding it. Not knowing what it is i am calling it Material-X. (sounds cool anyway)

OAL: 14"
Blade: 9" (1.5" wide)
Steel: 1095
Handle: hard synthetic rubber-like material
Flat ground, rolled edge, very sharp, robust edge

That looks great! Are you going to make any attempt to find out what "Material-X" is? It might ruin the mystery, but potential buyers might like to know...

from the pics, the handle material looks alot like "PEEK"....its a hard, high glass content and super strong plastic...we machine alot of it at work

i dont have any problem shipping to Australia, it would be my third. however, if the shipping is super high would you mind paying the difference from domestic shipping?


as for what the material is... i got it in a machine shop. it very well might be "peek" got any more info on that? it is reallllly cool stuff. i would be more than interested in finding out what it is.. i just didn't have any way of doing it.

i talked to a few guys in the shop and the confirmed the basics of the material. I am pretty sure that it is PEEK. great stuff.
