This is a smaller version of the other recurve I just posted here. The blade is 1095 and has been clay quenched for a nice hamon.

The bolster is black linen micarta and the handle is cocobolo. For some reason this handle just melts into my hand. It feels better in my hand than any other I have made so far. I am not sure what I did differently, but I want to replicate it.

The sheath is leather and is hand stitched. I am enjoying doing sheaths more now, and hopefully it is showing up in my work. I put some tooling on this one. I kind of like how it turned out.

Dimensions
Blade - 4 1/2" tip to handle
OAL - 9 1/8"

Price - $210 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first "I'll take it!" gets it.

could you post a before and after of ytour clay application? your hamons are what id like to replicate.
thanks

Edgemaster, Give me a week or two and I will get the before and after hamon pictures. I am actually trying a slightly different technique. I have the knives at the hand sanding stage now, so it may not be long before I see if the new technique payed off.

HI Matt this arrived today, It's a beauty.

I was a little concerned about the amount of sway along the spine but the photograph really just over-emphasized it.

Its a real beauty for sure and I love the 2nd sheath you did as well. I think in hand shots of your knives would really help them move (not that you need the help). I can't wait for the next one to arrive!
