I really like this knife.

The blade is 1095 that has been clay coated for a nice hamon. It is also fully fileworked with a random vine filework.

The handle is stabilized, dyed curly maple. It almost looks 3-D when it catches the light.

The Bolster is G10

The sheath is 7 oz leather with the cross strap system for horizontal or vertical carry.

Dimensions
Blade - Just under 4 1/2"
OAL 9 1/2"

Price - reduced $175 Shipped to CONUS. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first "I'll take it!" gets it.

Very nice Matt! The handle looks cool. Kudos to you on some awesome file work. I wish more folks did it. I dig it!

Thanks guys,
Gazz, I have a hard time leaving spines alone. I know sometimes filework detracts from the blade, but I love doing it. Same deal with hamons.

These are the things that set your blades apart from all the generics out there. Fantastic work. Please don't stop, one day my business will be better and I will have one of your knives!

Thanks, Denjohn.

Well, this is where I am with this one. I really like this knife, and I had it with me at the Ohio show. People kept picking it up and saying "Wow, I really like this knife, too bad the handle is pink." I bought the wood because it said it was red dyed, but sanded out, it is definately pink. If this doesnt sell by the end of the day, I am going to pull the handle off of it, and replace it with a nice wood or natural micarta and try again. I think the blade shape is nice and the hamon really stands out, but the handle is killing me.

Sooo, if you want this one and were on the fence about buying it, do it before the end of today, otherwise it will get some modifications and be re-listed.

Matt

Hi Matt,
I handled this knife twice at that show and I was not in love with the color, but the feel and the workmanship was superb... I would be very interested in it with a different handle, perhaps olive or burl? Let me know what you choose to do.

I'd have snapped this up days ago if not for the pink handle. I still agonized on it; I think it will sell quick with new scales.

Actually, I liked the pink handle. Had the knife been smaller (ie... more feminine), I would have purchased it for my wife.

I havent gotten around to knocking the handle off this one yet. I have some orders to fill, and will probably do it next. I am thinking cocobolo, but I am not sure, maybe ironwood.

Got it! That was fast! Thanks again!

I look forward to seeing and buying many more of your knives.

Gary
