Hello BF,
This is the second to last knife from my first batch. It was a bit of an experiment of sorts. I chisel flat ground it on a 4 inch contact wheel... I laid it parallel to the wheel, from plunge to tip kept rocking it back and forth. It made for a cool plunge. I want to try one one my ten inch wheel next. I do start all of my flat grinding on the ten inch wheel then finish it on the flat platen, where with this knife I started and finished on the 4 inch wheel, fun!
Specifications:
Steel: 1095 - Professionally hardened to Rc 58-59, triple tempered, and Cryogenically treated to Negative 300 Celsius.
OAL at 7 5/8 inches profiled out of 1/8 stock, Blade edge is 3 1/8 inches long.
Handles - Tulipwood with brass 3/16 pin and tube.
Sheath - Veg tanned 8/9 leather stained mahogany, sanded then left 'streaky' to give it a different look.
Grind: Full Flat from Spine to edge. Chisel ground.
Knife is $55 plus $10 shipping and insurance to conus. Paypal, MO etc... I will ship internationally but at the buyers expense.
Thanks for looking,
John Landi
