they said i would have to buy 50 ton of it to get it.

Vern - I'm beating a dead horse here, but I highly recommend that you go with 1080 or 1084. You can order it 1080 or 1095 from Admiral Steel or Kelly Cupples (1084 from Kelly as well). Mace and Aldo also have some 10xx series steels for sale right here on BF. I'm sure the shipping has got to be less than the cost of ordering 50 tons It's actually free from Kelly if you order $100 worth or more.
