This is a compliment I got on another thread about a recent knife sold. Thanks to all for looking and thanks to Roland for the kind words.
i just picked up this knife & sheath. i'm blown away by both of them !
this is an excellent knife ! way more than $200 worth of knife here. perfect flat grind and shaving sharp; handle fits my hand perfectly with balance towards the blade. it's heavy too and at OAL of 12" it's EXACTLY what i wanted, a 'small' chopper. the sheath is big and solid to perfectly hold this beautiful beast. man, did i score !
somebody, grab the burlap one if still available. i guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Thank You Burton, you really know how to make a knife !

I just received mine yesterday, same model with different wood scales and i will second Roland, its an awesome knife,a lot of knife for the price, very well executed and grinds are
perfect.
anybody in the market for a medium chopper or camp knife cant go wrong with this one
i'll just add that the sheath is great and protects most of the handle as well as the blade
I am very happy with my purchase, thank you Mr Burton

Carl does very nice work. His grinds are well balanced and even, with a beautiful long distal taper in them.
His handle work is first rate and his sheaths are built with some character in them.

If you don't buy one of his knives now, keep your eye on him, his knives will only get better in the future.

Carl apprenticed here at my shop and is a very good student, with a lot of talent.

Thanks for the nice words Fred. You have been a great help and a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for all the help and for putting up with me:) BTW this one is still available and ready to work.

i just bought and received a similar knife from Burton and he has posted my thank you letter above.
if you are looking for a small chopper (as i was), buy this one. you'll get way more than $200 worth of knife.
i've bought about 35(or so ?, "too" many anyway, so i refuse to count them) custom knives in these forums, and this one ranks right up there in the group that is: "WOW, am i ever glad i bought this".

Here is the sheath for this one. It is 8oz. tooled leather and brown antique dyed with a large Ohio Adena Arrowhead hand tooled into it. I am an avid artifact hunter and collector and try and incorporate that into my work somehow. I have been walking the plowed farm fields of Ohio since I could walk and have a nice collection to show for it:D Hope you like it. -Burton
