Here’s a quillon dagger that I just finished up. The blade and guard are two-bar “twisted w’s” damascus, in CruForgeV and 15n20 steels. The pommel is 1075/15n20 single twist damascus.

The handle core is spiral-fluted hardwood, with herringbone-twisted black iron wire wrap. The ends of the wrap are covered with copper wire turk’s head knots.

The blade features deep 2” double hollow grinds, and the tang end is peened over the pommel to secure the construction.

This is the first knife that I have marked in this fashion, with just the “Promethean” torch.
It is a very fun knife to hold and to look at.

Specs are as follows:

Blade Length: 10-7/8”
Overall Length: 16-1/2”
Max Blade Width: 13/16”
Blade Thickness at Ricasso: .162”
Weight: 8-1/4 oz.
Balance Point: Center of Guard

I am asking $1250 for this knife. SOLD PENDING FUNDS. Price includes insured shipping to the United States. For international shipping rates, please inquire.

Here is a video, (please do watch it, it captures the knife the best) and some pictures. Enjoy!

I make knives to the best of my ability and knowledge. I research to find the best materials and methods to use, in order to provide the very best product, in terms of value, durability, performance, and aesthetics. Should you find a knife you have bought from me to be lacking in any of these respects, you may ship it back to me at my expense for a full money-back return.

Should a knife purchased from me fail in materials or workmanship, please ship it back to me at my own expense for your money back in full, or repairs at no cost. It’s your choice.

I will sharpen any of my knives at no cost; however I do ask that you pay for shipping costs for this service.
I am always pleased to hear from any of my customers, past, repeat, potential, or otherwise. Please go to my web site, see "Contact Me" and give me a call. If you have any questions regarding these policies, I'd like to hear them.

Let me be the 1st to say..Fine job and beautiful. Guarantee I wont be the last.

Salem,
There seem no limits to your craftsmanship and vision. A truly remarkable piece. Museum quality.

holy cow that is SWEEEEEEEET!!!! The iron-wire wrap over the fluted wood is such a great idea - how does it stay affixed to the wood, JB weld or just tension??

I was gunna ask the same thing, that piece looks fantastic, but how oh how did your devious mind work out how to get that wire into the contours of the fluted handle. That is something I haven't seen before and am thoroughly impressed with.

Tension.

I was inspired by some historical pieces, and by a Kevin Cashen dagger. He was kind enough to point me in the right direction for this technique.

Really nice work Salem. That Damascus is moving. This grind is so tough to do well and you nailed it. Not to mention the rest of it is OUTSTANDING.

Incredible buddy!!! I dont dig these types knives but damn its a head turner, made me turn an see the other side of "artwork" .... Great job
