Nice Frosts in a pattern I've not seen before. Tossed a quarter down next to it for some size reference. Nice laminated blade, though I'd have preferred carbon steel over stainless. Beautiful wood handle with finger scallops, and the tang is peened over at the end, which made it quite easy to fix the slightly loose finger guard. Overall, it cleaned up fairly easily, and after some time on the Sharpmaker, I think it's one of the sharpest knives I own. The sheath is pretty thrashed, but I can use it for a pattern if I end up making a new one.

That's a Frost?

I haven't seen that one before. Nice grab. Is the clip sharpened?

EDIT: And to add to what Sarge said, since we posted simultaneously...it does remind one a bit of a cutlass, doesn't it?

Frost? or Frosts?I hope you meant Frosts. Seems like a very nice knife. I never find anything good at Rummage sales.

Congrats!

Sorry, Frosts, yes, lol, not Frost. The stamp on the blade reads, "Frosts Mora Made In Sweden Laminated Steel"

I looked at it for a long time, put it back down, looked at it some more. The guy had a table full of old knives, and that was the only one that really caught my attention. It was all dull and dirty, but I could tell what it was. He originally wanted $15, and I left, came back, and he said he'd take $12. My wife offered him all we had left of our yard sale money, $11, and he accepted. I've been playing around with it all afternoon cleaning, sanding, polishing, sharpening, finishing the handle. It's just so sharp and light. It'll make a great medium-duty camp knife.

Do they have salves for the knife disease?

Nossir. In some cases marriage has been found to be effective in reducing "knifeitis", but if the spouse becomes infected by long term exposure the symptoms still return. ;)

Sweet! Tell you what...I'll give you the *whole* $15 for it just to be nice.

Great find Josh!

Damn good find Josh. Awesome knife. You need a sheath for her.

There's an honesty about this knife that I find very appealing. It's not purdy; it's definitely meant to cut, and yet at the same time, I can't keep my eyes off it.

They got salves now that can cure that mange Josh.

:D

I actually worked with two people that got mange! (from a dog as you'd expect--HOW--I'm not sure... )

Nice find Josh!!

I wonder how many members of this forum get that kind of mange on their arms on a regular basis. :D I've been getting it off and on for over 20 years.
