$11 rummage sale knife

Not Stainless!!! Just stubborn. Finally got a bit of a patina on there, and now it's pretty easy to see the lamination.

Ah, but Yvsa, if it can't cured, it can at least be mitigated by just shaving the places that don't see daylight.  :D

That only serves to mask the symptoms from the ladies, sir.

Never been an officer, and to the best of my recollection I've never been knighted, why you want to go cussing an old master sergeant that way?:grumpy:  ;) :D

No offense intended, of course. You guys crack me up.

Sarge

Well Sarge would you like him to take that back and call you a sumbieetch? ;) :D

I once told my company commander and the Top when asked if I had considered going RA during an inspection because I was very well squared away, "Permission to speak freely Sir?" Permission was granted. I replied, "Sir if you will pardon me, Sir, there are only two sorts of people that go RA. Those who are too damn lazy to go out and get a job and those who don't have enough sense, Sir!"
Thankfully he had been an enlisted man for 18 years so he just laughed as well as did Top.
I had the utmost respect for both of these men and would have gladly followed them to hell and back if the orders had come up to do so. Even though I was NG I was still attached to a RA unit and I went where they went.
This was in 1965 and not a good time in the world for grunts.
Over half of our battalion was called up and dispersed to Nam and Korea shortly before I went off of active duty.:(

And Sarge, I have the same amount of respect for you. It would've been an honor to serve under or with you and you have shown yourself to be the same kind of man I would gladly go to hell and back with.
I suspect that many here feel the same way about you.
To call you "Sir" is just a matter of respect Sarge.
