ok i know i am a moron but can i get some help.
i have a bader b11 single phase grinder 110/220 .
it is wired for 220 and i want to rewire it for 110 .does anybody have the wiring lay out or have knowledge of where to get it. i cant find a name on the motor. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing moronic about your question. You don't have the wiring table, you're stuck.

If it is a duel voltage motor (not all are) that information is generally stamped on the data plate and placed as a sticker somewhere. If it isn't written on the outside of the motor anywhere, it may be on the inside of the wiring cover plate.

Is there a box or covering you can open? Are there wires in screw terminals or with wire nuts? Are they labeled?

I have a ca 1984 BII 2HP. I took a foto of the motor plate for you. I have no idea whether it's approriate for your motor.

If it's not on the data plate, sometimes it is inside the terminal block, on the backside of the cover plate.

ok
so i wire it 1-3-8 and 2-4-5
i am assuming these are running to the positive and negitive with the ground connecting to the motor frame.
the circuit breaker keeps tripping when i plug it in. (15 amp) . the motor is 11.5 amps(i think) the line is only on the grinder motor. any ideas??????

How many HP is this motor? You see on that plate I posted, where it says amps? That means it would draw 23 @110V and 11.5@220V. It takes a lot more current to start the motor than it takes to run it. A 2HP motor will very often pop a 15A breaker when you try to start it.

I see where I may have misunderstood....you say, "plug it in". Never even flip the switch, or no switch?
