110 Blade Upgrade

Alright boys and girls, i want to get a buck 110 as a cheap edc but me being a total steel snob, i don't want to carry it being 420HC so i want to swap it to BG42. For those who have already done this or know how to go about doing this, Do i send my 110 to Buck or do i buy one directly from them, also how much is the swap going to set me back and how long does it usually take? Thanks people,

Go to the Buck website, and click on custom shop, this is where you can get a BG42 110.
 
I just went to Bucks site and to the custom shoppe. You can make a 110 with BG-42 for $19 additional. other handle materials etc will add to the price.

Let me repeat you definately CAN still get BG-42 in a 110.

I have one and love the blade.

...also i saw nowhere to put a s30v blade on, ats-34 yes, bg-42 yes...s30v not seeing it...
 
They used to offer a blade exchange for a fee. I don't know if they will still do it.

You send them your knife and they will change out the blade. You might try contacting Buck or Joe Houser.

I really hope the BG-42 being out is a short term situation. I really want a BG-42 user. The only BG-42 is the walnut from ZZ that I has never cut a thing...I just stare at it like
when I saw my first Playboy magazine...

If you look at the blades for the 110 in the custom shop the price of the blade will be the price of the upgrade.

OMG that is jest what the navy wanted me to do, belive it or not!
and guess who put them togeather and tested them later on ....

I called Buck yesterday. No BG42. They have just enough to fill the orders already placed. They have S30V in a drop point blade and ATS34 in the regular clip point.
