The early 112s and 500s both used micarta. Love the micarta.
Derlin and other plastics are pretty durn traditional, imo.
I get Dymonwood but agree, it has an odd feel to it. Reminds me of the wood paneling on my dad's old Ford LTD Country Squire wagon..
Micarta is fabric and resin and Dymondwood is wood and resin. <shrug>
I was actually thinking the other day that I wished they'd bring back micarta scales for teh customs (as well as add the 500 to the list).
I think you would be fine with either. If you want a little more choice, Go custom shop! The oak and Nickle frame with rivets was actually less money and very nice with the S30V!I hope it's OK to ask this question here.
